Flo glassblowing produces high quality glass objects with a modern flare for business and home. Our designs are both visually stimulating and functional and each glass item is locally hand made and one-of-a-kind.

who is flo?

Melody Jewitt is the owner and co-founder of flo. She has 12 years of experience in glassblowing. With flo, she merges her passions for arts education, fine design and community involvement.

Marylou Miles feels privileged to have found such a fun, diverse group of individuals who make Flo flow! Her passion for glass has taken her to five cities, across three continents, over the past 20 years.

Jeff MacIntosh is a glass artist originally from Mississauga, Ontario. He entered the Peel regional arts program as a visual art major in 1999 and graduated with honours in 2003. In 2006, he completed the Art Fundamentals program at Sheridan College in Oakville.

Lauretta Peters began her glasswork journey as an apprentice at Pixie Glass Works. After falling in love with the medium, she pursued an education in glass and design at the Haliburton School of Art and Design and graduated with honors. Her pursuit of glass has taken her all across North America and landed her in Ottawa with the incredible team of artists at Flo.

Miriam Roemer-Arifovic Born and raised in Germany, Miriam is a Lampwork Bead Artist with over ten years’ experience.

what is flo?

Flo is a glass arts teaching facility, providing multi-level workshops to the public in the forms of glassblowing, flameworking, fusing and casting.

Flo is also:

  • A retail gallery showcasing handmade Canadian glass art.
  • A working facility open for public viewing.
  • A rental space for emerging glass artists.
